An afternoon of renaissance music, song and storytelling with a focus on the beautifully restored unicorn tapestries in Stirling Castle and the myths and history they reflect.
The tapestries, created in Flanders, came to Scotland as part of the wedding celebrations for James V and Marie de Guise in 1538 - this is where we start our exploration. Among the voices are those of The Weaver, King James, The Queen's Lady in Waiting, The Maiden, the Unicorn, and the tapestry itself.
The music, played on viols, recorder and renaissance guitar, includes popular hunting and woodland songs, dances and love songs.
